Breast Cancer: Eating Mediterranean Protects Aggressive Form

Postmenopausal women who follow a Mediterranean diet have a significantly reduced risk of breast cancer, those who do not express estrogen receptors, according to a
Dutch prospective study of 62,573 women, and a meta-analysis By its authors. These cancers (about 30% of mammary tumors) often have a poor prognosis.
But, the researchers did not find that women who eat Mediterranean have less risk of cancer expressing estrogen receptors (the majority of cancers), nor less risk of breast cancer, all types combined.
The Mediterranean diet is characterized by the low consumption of ultra-processed foods and by regular consumption of fruits, vegetables, pulses, poorly processed cereal products, olive oil, nuts, with moderate amounts of meat, dairy products Fermented and wine.
